Original 'Studies'

In preparation for creating a full size painting, an artist may produce smaller, less involved practice pieces called 'studies' to test out the composition they have in mind.

Peabody Gallery has been fortunate to obtain nearly a dozen of these studies produced by two of our artists, Carrie Graber and Aldo Luongo. If you thought you couldn't afford an original piece of artwork of these artist's stature, this might be your chance.

These studies are all original pieces of artwork, signed by the artist. Each of these studies is related to a piece of art which is otherwise only available in a limited edition form. Carrie Graber does her studies in a 9" x 12" format using oil on hard board. Aldo Luongo does his studies in an 8" x 10" format using graphite on paper.
